KIPP Washington Heights Elementary is a joyful, community-rooted school serving grades K–4 in Upper Manhattan. We combine rigorous academics with social-emotional growth, helping children build curiosity, critical thinking, and confidence. Each day begins with a welcoming community meeting and includes individualized instruction in reading, writing, and math, plus daily recess and enrichment in science, taekwondo, fitness, and hands-on projects. Family and community partnerships are at the heart of our work, creating a culture where every child is seen, supported, and prepared for for the path they choose and beyond.
Our distinctive strength lies in deep relationships and a whole-child approach. We proudly serve a diverse population of students with varied experiences and abilities, providing personalized, data-informed instruction that meets every learner’s needs.
