About
KIPP Inquire Elementary School
In partnership with families, KIPP Inquire Elementary School nurtures every student’s sense of self, ignites their curiosity, and challenges their intellect. At KIPP Inquire, we believe that a quality education expands the mind, leans on the heart, and moves the body. Students engage in activities to develop their sense of self, ability to reflect, and build relationships with their peers. Our students are critical thinkers and the empathetic leaders of tomorrow.
A Day in the Life
Small group instruction is our guiding principle. We firmly believe that students learn best when they are in a small group setting. KIPP Inquire students are in small groups that allow for multiple opportunities to practice new material and a space to make meaningful connections to new content. Project-based learning compels students to use a variety of skills and connect them to other disciplines, integrating two or more content areas. For example, a unit about The Five Senses can be paired with Science (investigating the world through your senses) and Math (principles of counting).
Special Programs
Sports Facilities: KIPP Inquire Elementary School students participate in sports-related activities in a full sized indoor basketball court gymnasium, as well as have the opportunity to be outdoors on one of our schools two rooftop terraces.
STEM: In Science, students conduct inquiry-based experiments that allow them to explore scientific ideas.
The Arts: Arts + Movement is an electives block where students engage in different artistic and fitness activities.
Family Partnerships
KIPP Inquire students are on their own authentic journey and it is our role as educators, in partnership with their families, to affirm student identity, ignite curiosity, and nurture critical thinking. We work with families to ensure that KIPP Inquire students bring their unique cultures, beliefs and experience to the school community. Their identities are assets that inform how we engage and connect with what we learn together. Students learn best when engaging in a productive struggle that helps uncover their limitless potential. KIPP Inquire students are life-long learners who embrace challenges, reflect on mistakes, and try again.
